Welcome to the Pagosa Springs EMS!
Operated under Upper San Juan Health Services District

Our rural health service provides Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to Archuleta County and portions of Hinsdale and Mineral Counties. We are a special district organization running four ambulances professionally staffed with Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) personnel. Many of our patients' lives depend on the skill and ability of our dedicated staff to provide a high level of care before and during transport to the appropriate facility.

Community involvement is the cornerstone of a successful, rural EMS agency. Pagosa Springs EMS is working to build a strong partnership with our service community through programs designed to help save lives and increase public awareness of potential life threatening problems. Our newly introduced HeartSAFE Pagosa program will place 10 public access automated defibrillators (AEDs) into the community. When combined with the necessary training in CPR and use of the AED, a vital link in the Chain of Survival will be built. Our goal is to build on this program with other, life saving programs and educational opportunities in partnership with the community in which we live and serve. Have an idea?
